Manchester United's director of football, Jason Wilcox, is on a mission to secure the signings of Leicester City's rising stars, Jeremy Monga and Louis Page. This could signal a significant shift in United's strategy as they prepare for the Champions League next season.

Under interim manager Michael Carrick, Manchester United has clinched a spot in the Premier League top five. As they eye the summer transfer window, rebuilding the midfield and integrating young talent into the squad becomes essential. Wilcox is reportedly engaging with domestic rivals to lock in top prospects, having already met with officials from Leicester, Nottingham Forest, and another undisclosed Premier League club.

Monga, just 16, has made waves as one of the top teenagers in English football, contributing one goal and two assists in 37 appearances for Leicester. However, he cannot sign a professional contract until he turns 17 in July. Page, a 17-year-old midfielder, has already made 21 first-team appearances and signed his first professional deal with Leicester in September 2025.

While bolstering the squad is a priority, Manchester United must first appoint a permanent manager, as Carrick remains in the interim role following the exit of Ruben Amorim.
