Romano reports that personal terms with Ederson are reportedly agreed, but the deal remains unfinalized. United's recruitment team has eyed Ederson since summer 2025, but Atalanta's reluctance to sell at that time stalled progress. Now, with Ederson's contract expiring in 2027 and no new deal in sight, he becomes available for a fee of €45 million.
In addition to Ederson, United prepares to bolster its squad further, especially with Champions League qualification increasing their budget. They anticipate receiving €44 million from Hojlund’s transfer to Napoli, which could activate next week if Napoli secures Champions League football.
