Manchester United faces competition from Manchester City for Kennet Eichhorn and Felix Nmecha. Reports indicate that United is keen on signing Nmecha from Borussia Dortmund as they search for midfield reinforcements in the summer of 2026. However, City emerges as the frontrunner for the 25-year-old Germany international, previously released by them in 2021.
Additionally, United shows interest in Hertha Berlin's 16-year-old sensation Eichhorn, who has a release clause between €12million and €20m. Bayern Munich is also in the mix for Eichhorn, with Pep Guardiola reportedly eager to work with the young talent. Although United cannot officially sign Eichhorn until he turns 18, City is already in talks for Nmecha, intensifying the battle for these Bundesliga prospects.
