Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of enhancing their squad with agreements for Jan Paul van Hecke and Savinho as their third and fourth signings of the summer. This transfer activity comes after a narrow escape from relegation last season, emphasizing the urgency for improvement in Roberto De Zerbi’s team.
The club has already secured Andy Robertson and confirmed the signing of Marcos Senesi from AFC Bournemouth on a four-year deal until June 2030. Fabrizio Romano highlighted that this move was finalized with no chance of interruption, with the medical completed today.
Tottenham is also pursuing Joao Palhinha for a permanent transfer, while Savinho's deal with Manchester City is progressing quickly. Journalist Nicolo Schira reports that personal terms for the winger have been agreed for a five-year contract until 2031.
While Spurs have faced challenges in negotiations for Van Hecke, Brighton's Paul Barber stated that two bids have been rejected. However, Dutch reporter Joost Blaauwhof confirmed that Van Hecke has agreed to personal terms with Tottenham, awaiting the final agreement between clubs.
The pressure is on Spurs to finalize these deals and strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
