This incident occurred when Hooker scored a try, only to be hit with a dogshot from Ospreys player Luke Morgan, leading to widespread outrage on social media and criticism from head coach JP Pietersen.
Pietersen confirmed that the 23-year-old suffered a dislocated shoulder, describing it as a “massive blow” for the team. Hooker's try brought the Sharks within two points at halftime, but without him, they fell to a 21-17 defeat, leaving them 11 points behind the eighth-place Bulls in the standings with only three games left.
