Nick Frost, the Brumbies and Wallabies second-row, reveals that he struggled to get in and out of his car after a grueling 2025 season. This insight sheds light on the physical toll elite rugby can take on players.
Frost, 26, has been a key player for both club and country but missed the first four matches of the Brumbies’ 2026 Super Rugby Pacific campaign. His demanding 2025 season included participation in 13 out of 15 Wallabies Tests, playing the full 80 minutes in 10 of those matches, highlighted by a tough three-Test series against the British and Irish Lions.
He admitted that he wasn't fully ready to return when the new season began. “I struggled getting in and out of the car,” Frost shared, noting that simple movements were challenging. He also mentioned gaining weight that aided him in international play but hindered his speed in Super Rugby.
Frost finally returned to the Brumbies’ lineup last month against the Fijian Drua, and he has since started additional matches against the Hurricanes and Highlanders. His journey underscores the relentless demands of professional rugby and the resilience required to bounce back from intense competition.
