At 31, Du Toit has emerged as one of the premier props in England since joining Bath in 2023. His international debut came in 2018, but it wasn't until recently that he secured a consistent spot in the Springboks lineup. In 2025, he started five of six matches in the Rugby Championship and is set for crucial November clashes against France and Ireland.
Du Toit acknowledges the depth of talent in South African rugby, calling it "the best generation of Springboks ever produced." He emphasizes the honor of training alongside greats like Frans Malherbe and Ox Nche. Despite his success, he maintains a relentless work ethic, stating, “My philosophy is serving the team the best way I possibly can.”
