The IMA Maxi European Championship 2026 concludes in Sorrento, solidifying its status as a premier event in the Maxi Yacht calendar. This year's competition showcased an impressive week of races amid the stunning backdrop of the Gulf of Naples, with varied conditions challenging teams throughout the Tre Golfi Sailing Week.

Organized by the Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia and the International Maxi Association, the event featured a mix of offshore, coastal, and inshore races, all marked by tactical intensity and light winds. Roberto Mottola di Amato, President of the Circolo, praised the participants and organizers for their commitment to excellence, emphasizing the event's growth and connection to its maritime roots.

In the highly competitive Maxi Grand Prix / Maxi 72 division, Jolt, helmed by Peter Harrison, claimed the European title with a consistent performance. Tactician Ben Saxton led a talented crew including Italians Cesare Bozzetti and Nicolò Robello. Northstar, under Peter Dubens, finished second, while Django 7X, with Vasco Vascotto at the helm, secured the third spot. Nic Asher, tactician of Jolt, celebrated their victory, highlighting the team's incredible race on the final day.
