US Sailors Gear Up for Exciting Season Kickoff in Palma de Mallorca

More than 40 US sailors gear up for the 55th Trofeo Princesa Sofìa Regatta in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, from March 30 to April 4. This event marks the official European season opener, featuring all 10 Olympic classes. US Sailing Director Molly Vandemoer emphasizes the regatta's significance as a crucial opportunity for athletes to qualify for enhanced Performance Pathway tiers, impacting funding and team status.

The roster includes Olympians and emerging talents across various classes. Notable pairings include 470 duo Micky Munns and Candance Oswald, 49er team Jordan Janov and Grant Janov, and 49erFX competitors Maddie Hawkins and Lilly Myers. The iQFOiL and Nacra 17 classes showcase top athletes, including Daniela Moroz and Riley Gibbs.
