As the 2026 NCAA regionals kick off, the spotlight shines on the teams boasting the most MLB draft prospects. Here’s why this ranking could redefine college baseball’s landscape for years to come.
The UCLA Bruins lead the pack with three top-two-round prospects: SS Roch Cholowsky, RHP Logan Reddemann, and RHP Angel Cervantes. Cholowsky is a frontrunner for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 draft, poised to be a top 20 prospect in pro baseball once he signs. Reddemann’s potential return from arm fatigue could solidify his first-round status, while Cervantes, previously a second-round pick out of high school, adds depth to this roster.
Following closely are the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, featuring three top-two-round prospects: C Vahn Lackey, CF Drew Burress, and 2B Jarren Advincula. Lackey is projected to go No. 3 overall, with Burress likely to be selected between eighth and 15th. Advincula is also expected to make a splash in the second round.
These rankings highlight the tight competition among college baseball programs, showcasing the future stars poised to make their mark in the MLB.
