Over 470 elite sailors gear up for the 55th Trofeo Princesa Sofía Mallorca from March 27 to April 4. Female competitors represent 40.7% of the registered fleet, with women making up 46% of the total teams, adhering to Olympic gender parity standards. Among them is Mallorca's Marta Cardona, the Youth World Sailor of the Year 2025, known for her exceptional talent and determination. The event features a mix of categories: 49erFX, ILCA 6, iQFOiL Women, Formula Kite Women, 49er, ILCA 7, iQFOiL Men, Formula Kite Men, and mixed categories like 470 Mixed and Nacra 17. So far, 895 teams and 1,155 sailors from 59 countries have signed up. Cardona, who recently became European and World Champion in the 420 class, is ready to take on the competition in the 470 Mixed with Jordi Xammar. The excitement builds as the start date approaches!
