The 2026 52 SUPER SERIES kicks off with a thrilling lineup of events, starting at the Puerto Portals 52 Super Series Sailing Week in Spain. Here’s why this season promises intense competition and fresh rivalries that could reshape the circuit.

The 2026 season features five major events, beginning from May 4-9 in Puerto Portals and concluding with the 52 SUPER SERIES Valencia Sailing Week on October 5-10. In between, teams will race off Porto Cervo, Italy, from June 15-20, and twice in Lanzarote from July 20-25 and August 24-29. Fourteen teams are set to compete in Puerto Portals, including Takashi Okura’s Sled, flying "USA 5095."

Fans remember Doug Devos's American Magic Quantum Racing, which claimed the 2025 Rolex TP52 World Championship before retiring. Now, a majority of the crew, including tactician Terry Hutchinson, races under the Dutch flag with No Way Back, led by Pieter Heerema. New entrants Trinity Racing and Caballo Loco add excitement, with experienced tacticians on board.

In another high-stakes event, the IMOCA Class's 1000 Race launched from Port-la-Forêt, featuring seven yachts, four of which are helmed by first-time solo sailors. As the race unfolds, Sam Godchild leads in Macif Sante Prevoyance, showcasing the fierce competition ahead.
