US Sailing highlights excellence in adaptive sailing with the 2025 Adaptive Awards. Hudson River Community Sailing claims the Robie Pierce Award for Outstanding Adaptive Programming. This recognition comes after HRCS expanded its adaptive initiatives since 2014, transforming from a single event into a year-round program. The "Soldiers Under Sail" initiative allows veterans to sail with US Sailing-certified skippers, enhancing skills and camaraderie. By 2024, HRCS served over 250 adaptive sailors and formed partnerships with nine organizations to broaden access.

Paul "Bo" Bollinger of Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating receives the Gay S. Lynn Memorial Trophy for his significant contributions to the adaptive sailing community.

The awards were presented at the New England Regional Symposium at Bristol Yacht Club, celebrating commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in sailing. Don Rotzien accepted the Robie Pierce Award on behalf of Hudson River Community Sailing.
