Alessandro Marega reclaims the No. 1 spot in the 2026 Finn World Rankings after his thrilling victory at the Finn Gold Cup in Brisbane last month. The Italian champion previously held this position from November 2024 to July 2025. Laurent Hay from France falls to second place, while Valerian Lebrun stays steady at third. This ranking features 1,413 sailors from 43 nations. Notably, Fabian Lemmel of Germany and Italy’s Marko Kolic break into the top 10 for the first time, with Lemmel soaring to seventh and Kolic jumping to eighth. Britain’s Lawrence Crispin and Australia’s Paul McKenzie also re-enter the top 10. The rankings reflect performances from recent events in Brisbane, with most top competitors in attendance. The next update follows the Open Europeans in Gydnia, Poland, in June. For detailed rankings and events, visit finnclass.org.
