Excitement Builds as SSL Gold Cup 2026 Qualifiers Take Shape

The SSL Gold Cup 2026 is heating up as the final qualification events unfold, with just 255 days until the regatta in Rio de Janeiro, running from November 18 to December 13. Out of 66 national teams, 29 have qualified via the SSL Nations Ranking, and two more secured spots in the Asian Qualifier in Pattaya, Thailand. Nine spots remain up for grabs.

In early June, SSL newcomers SSL Team Seychelles, SSL Team Morocco, SSL Team Mozambique, and SSL Team Tahiti vie for two qualification slots. SSL Team Austria, SSL Team Slovenia, and SSL Team Estonia, along with SSL Team Norway, SSL Team Belgium, SSL Team Lithuania, and SSL Team Serbia, are also in the mix. Group F sees SSL Team Croatia, SSL Team Finland, and SSL Team Ukraine competing for a chance to shine. The anticipation builds as these teams prepare for their shot at sailing glory.
