World Sailing launches its first Para Inclusive Development Programme (IDP) in the Caribbean, set for June 2026 in Antigua and Barbuda. Partnering with the National Sailing Academy and Sailability Antigua, and backed by the local government, this initiative enhances access to sailing for individuals with disabilities.
The week-long program features on-water coaching, skills development, and racing, culminating in an international regatta that allows participants to showcase their skills competitively. This landmark initiative aims to establish a sustainable foundation for Para Inclusive Sailing in the Caribbean Basin, combining international expertise with local leadership.

The IDP is designed to attract participants from across the Caribbean, focusing on developing new sailors and offering roles for coaches and volunteers. The program promises knowledge sharing and local capacity building, ensuring a lasting impact on inclusive sailing in the region. World Sailing will engage with Member National Authorities and stakeholders to boost participation.
