Alex Bowman is out for a second straight NASCAR Cup race due to vertigo. Justin Allgaier steps in for him at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Hendrick Motorsports’ president, Jeff Andrews, confirms Bowman is still experiencing symptoms and is working with doctors for clearance. “Our priority remains making sure Alex is fully ready before returning to the race car,” says Andrews. Bowman had to withdraw during the March 1 race at Circuit of the Americas and was replaced midrace. Anthony Alfredo took the wheel of the No. 48 Chevrolet at Phoenix Raceway. Allgaier, who won at Las Vegas last year in NASCAR's second-tier series, has 84 Cup Series starts and kicked off this season with the Daytona 500, finishing 38th after an early crash. Bowman has eight career wins in 364 Cup Series races and has been with Hendrick full-time since 2018.
