The Royal Solent Yacht Club gears up for the highly anticipated 60th anniversary of the Contessa Regatta from June 26-28, 2026. This event promises an exhilarating mix of racing and shore-side entertainment that competitors won't want to miss.
In a nod to the anniversary, lead sponsor Jeremy Rogers Limited introduces Contessa Gin, with all regatta participants receiving a complimentary bottle. Early registrants can even personalize their gin with their boat's name. Simon Rogers, Managing Director of Jeremy Rogers Limited, expresses excitement for the record turnout expected this year, emphasizing the community spirit of Contessa sailors.
The weekend features five thrilling races in the Western Solent across four divisions, including the Contessa 32 and Contessa 28 National Championships. Non-racing vessels are invited to partake in a unique sailing treasure hunt, enhancing the social atmosphere.
The festivities kick off with a Louis Jadot Drinks Reception on Friday evening, followed by a Rum Punch Party and live music on Saturday. Sunday wraps up with prize-giving, where class winners will be awarded magnums of Louis Jadot, and the overall champion receives a jeroboam.
