Manuel Neuer is injured again in his left calf. The Bayern Munich goalkeeper reinjured himself during his return to the field on Friday against Mönchengladbach (4-1). He will not be available for the trip to Bergamo on Tuesday against Atalanta in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. According to Bayern, Neuer is suffering from a small muscle tear. He was substituted at halftime by Jonas Urbig, who will take over as the starter in his absence. The 2014 world champion, who will celebrate his 40th birthday on March 27, could miss at least two weeks of competition. His return for the second leg at the Allianz Arena, scheduled for March 18, remains uncertain. Urbig, who joined Munich at the end of January 2025, has played eleven matches this season, including eight in the Bundesliga and one in the Champions League.
