Cofidis has turned its fortunes around after being relegated from the WorldTour, already notching up six wins this year. This transformation reveals a strategic shift in both management and racing calendar that could redefine their season.

Under new General Manager Raphael Jeune, Cofidis is now ranked 13th in the UCI Team Rankings, a significant bounce back from last year. Stanisław Aniołkowski recently secured victory in stage 4 of the Presidential Tour of Turkey, highlighting the team's renewed competitive edge. Aniołkowski remarked on the challenges faced after their WorldTour license loss, with the team fighting hard until the end of the previous season.

No longer tied to a full WorldTour schedule, Cofidis has reduced its racing commitments, participating in just 17 WorldTour events compared to 34 last year, and overall racing only 83 times this season. Climbers like Emanuel Buchmann express relief at the lighter schedule, noting the toll of their previous rigorous calendar.

This recalibrated approach not only eases pressure on riders but also fosters a more focused and effective competition strategy. As Cofidis aims to reclaim its status, the numbers behind their performance tell a compelling story of resilience and recovery.
