Strade Bianche races promise to be super-fast this Saturday as dry, compact gravel awaits riders in Tuscany. Recent warm weather sets the stage for near-perfect race conditions. Blue skies and temperatures around 17°C greet competitors as they head to Siena. Only light winds from the east are expected, providing a tail/crosswind for key gravel sectors.
Riders prepare for the challenge with reconnaissance rides, focusing on the final 100km, including crucial sectors at San Martino in Granaia and Monte Santa Marie. Both men's and women's races will tackle the Colle Pinzuto-Le Tolfe circuit twice in the final 60km, with steep climbs likely determining the final outcomes.
A special ceremony on Thursday honors Tadej Pogačar, naming the Colle Pinzuto sector after him in recognition of his three victories at Strade Bianche. Only Fabian Cancellara has received the same accolade.
