Team directeur sportif Kurt Bogaerts confirms a longer reconnaissance session took place on Tuesday to finalize equipment choices. “We’re leaving nothing to chance,” he states, with plans for the entire team to reconvene on Thursday. Pidcock heads into the race following a challenging debut at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, finishing 48th after a bike change and tough conditions. However, he’s found form with podium finishes at the Vuelta a Murcía and the Clásica Jaén, plus a stage win at Vuelta a Andalucía. Bogaerts believes Pidcock's strong physical performance at Omloop showcases his readiness for the Tuscan challenge.
