The 2026 UCI Gravel World Championships reveals a challenging course set in Nannup, Australia, with elite men racing 140.7km and elite women tackling 123.1km. This groundbreaking event marks the first Gravel World Championships held outside Europe, taking place on October 10-11.
What follows sheds light on a course that promises to redefine gravel racing. Riders will face a staggering 3,625m elevation gain for men and 3,100m for women, featuring a design reminiscent of the SEVEN Gravel Race.
The route boasts over 80% gravel, ensuring a tactical racing experience rarely seen at this level. It starts with a 9km paved segment, followed by a flat gravel stretch before the climbing begins. Race director Stephen Gallagher emphasizes the continuous nature of the climbs, with sections ranging from one to three kilometers. Unlike traditional courses, the consistent gradients of 5% to 8% present ongoing challenges, making the race a true test of endurance.
