Giulio Pellizzari of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe claims victory in the Tour of the Alps, securing his first career general classification title with a stunning performance. This decisive win reveals the rising star's potential and sets the stage for his future in professional cycling.

Pellizzari, who wore the green leader’s jersey since his stage 2 win, unleashed a powerful attack just kilometers from the summit of Montoppio. He soloed for 21km to the finish in Bolzano, leaving his closest rivals, Thymen Arensman and Egan Bernal from Ineos Grenadiers, trailing 30 seconds behind. The final stage, measuring 128.6km, featured twin climbs of the category-1 Montoppio, which tested the riders' endurance and strategy.

Ineos initially controlled the pace on the first ascent, but Red Bull took command on the second, setting up Pellizzari’s offensive. Supported by teammate Giovanni Aleotti, Pellizzari not only secured the win but also clinched six bonus seconds at an intermediate sprint. With his gap widening to 20 seconds by the summit, he dominated the descent to finish strong, making a significant mark in his burgeoning career. Pellizzari's triumph at the Tour of the Alps signals a promising future in cycling.
