Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney gears up for La Vuelta Femenina after an impressive podium finish at Liège-Bastogne-Liège. This performance sets the stage for her ambitions in the upcoming stage racing season.

Niewiadoma-Phinney secured third place behind winner Demi Vollering (FDJ United-SUEZ) and runner-up Puck Pieterse (Fenix-Premier Tech) in a fiercely contested race. “I believe that, as a team, we rode a nicer race and stayed together,” she said, expressing satisfaction with her result despite narrowly missing the top spot. She initially joined a chase group with Pieterse and Lidl-Trek teammates Isabella Holmgren and Niamh Fisher-Black but struggled to keep pace with Vollering’s decisive attack.

The Polish Champion, a top contender in the Spring Classics, finished strong despite the challenges. “Of course, you always feel a little upset that you could not follow, but I feel like it gives me extra motivation to work harder,” she stated, highlighting her determination to bridge the gap to elite competitors. With her eyes set on La Vuelta Femenina, Niewiadoma-Phinney is poised to build on her recent momentum and aim for victory in the upcoming races.
