Paula Blasi's whirlwind debut at the Ardennes Classics is nothing short of extraordinary. The 23-year-old from UAE Team ADQ stepped onto the scene with minimal expectations and emerged as a formidable contender.

In just one week, she clinched a stunning solo victory at the Amstel Gold Race, a feat she didn't even anticipate as she wasn't initially on the start list. Following that, she earned a podium spot at the Flèche Wallonne and capped her performance with a fifth place at Liège-Bastogne-Liège. Despite feeling disappointment for not racing alongside veteran Anna van der Breggen for second place, Blasi reflects on her rapid improvement.

“I was just 20 meters away from that group, but I just could not do any more,” she explained, highlighting her fierce competitive spirit. Two weeks prior, a ninth place finish at the Brabantse Pijl was her benchmark, but her ambitions have skyrocketed since then. Blasi's victory at Amstel Gold came after she was added to the squad just a day before the race, showcasing her talent and resilience.

This week has undoubtedly set the stage for even greater opportunities ahead for Paula Blasi.
