Kylee Hanel, just 20 years old, triumphs at the Unbound Gravel 100 in Emporia, Kansas, despite facing challenging conditions. This victory not only secures her the women's title but also cements her lead in the U23 Life Time Grand Prix standings.

Hanel completes the grueling 117-mile race in a remarkable 5:36:38, finishing 34th overall against a competitive field. “I did what I came here to do - win the U23 women's race and finish top 50 overall,” Hanel states post-race. Her journey to victory wasn’t easy; she battled through mud on Towers Climb and even faced a train delay that cost her precious time. “We walked a lot of the way... When you're walking, there's so much mud caked to your shoes your feet feel twice as heavy,” she explains.

Hanel finishes 2:31 ahead of second-place Samantha Johnson from Tennessee, who narrowly beats Ellory Clason by just 14 seconds.

In the men's race, Robert Oehler takes the win with a time of 5:04:39, showcasing a significant improvement from last year’s 14th place. He finishes two minutes ahead of U23 competitors Finn McKenzie and Oskar Stack-Michasiw.
