Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx-Protime) claims her second straight victory at the Vuelta a Burgos Feminas, showcasing her dominance in another uphill sprint. This win underscores her remarkable form and the strength of her team.

Wiebes outpaced Elisa Balsamo (Lidl-Trek) and Ally Wollaston (FDJ United-SUEZ) after a day filled with exhilarating attacks and strategic plays. With 22.4 kilometers remaining, the peloton reeled in the day's breakaway, leading to numerous attempts to break free. However, SD Worx-Protime kept the pace high, neutralizing threats and maintaining control.

A crash in the final 5 kilometers disrupted the field, yet most sprinters, including Wiebes, navigated safely. In a perfectly executed lead-out by Barbara Guarischi and Mischa Bredewold, Wiebes surged to victory once again. “It was a more difficult finish than yesterday because of the uphill part,” she remarked, praising her teammates for their excellent teamwork.

With a challenging stage ahead featuring two climbs, Wiebes remains optimistic. “I will see how far I can come,” she stated, highlighting her readiness for the battles to come. The numbers from this stage signal that Wiebes is a force to be reckoned with in this competition.
