Marlen Reusser returns to competition at Dwars door Vlaanderen Women, marking her first race since February. The Movistar rider faced a tough injury from a crash during stage 2 of the UAE Tour, where she sustained deep lacerations to her knee and hand. Although initial assessments indicated no fractures, her recovery sidelined her for several weeks.
Now back in training, Reusser is ready to restart her season and aims to make an impact. Movistar’s Directeur Sportif Kelvin Dekker expresses optimism about her condition, noting, “She’s good. We had to skip Strade after her crash in UAE.” Reusser’s determination shines through as she prepares for the Flanders Classics, a series where she hopes to reclaim her competitive edge.
In her own words on Instagram, Reusser states, “Now it’s on to Flanders Classics, where I can fight for the trophies again.” With a history of success, including a win at Gent-Wevelgem, Reusser is set to showcase her talent once more in the upcoming races.
