The Philadelphia Cycling Classic is set to feature seven WorldTour teams, making this year’s event a must-watch. Here’s why this lineup could redefine competitive cycling in North America.

On August 30, the iconic Benjamin Franklin Parkway hosts two UCI 1.1 events: the women's 100km race at 8:30 a.m. EDT and the men’s 200km contest at 12:30 p.m. EDT. Both races utilize a challenging 23.1km circuit that includes the notorious Manayunk Wall and Lemon Hill climbs.

Confirmed in the women's field are Canyon-SRAM zondacrypto and Human Powered Health. They’ll compete alongside a diverse mix of Continental and domestic elite squads, all vying for a $75,000 prize purse.

The men's race boasts heavyweights like Lotto-Intermarché, Team Jayco AlUla, and EF Education-EasyPost, with five WorldTour teams joining forces with ProTeams and Continental squads for the same prize.

Race director Robin Morton emphasizes the significance of this event, stating it’s a celebration of both cycling's legacy in Philadelphia and the caliber of international competition. With such a formidable roster, the Philadelphia Cycling Classic promises an exhilarating day for fans and athletes alike.
