Paul Seixas, the 19-year-old French sensation, aims to shake up the cycling world this Sunday at the prestigious Liège-Bastogne-Liège. This race not only features Seixas but also the formidable World Champion Tadej Pogačar, along with a host of elite competitors.
Liège-Bastogne-Liège, the oldest Monument Classic, spans 259.5 kilometers and is notorious for its challenging elevation profile, far tougher than Milan-San Remo. Riders face constant climbs, starting with the Côte de Saint-Roch, a steep ascent averaging 10.2%, making every kilometer a test of endurance.
Pogačar, representing UAE Team Emirates-XRG, enters the race with an impressive 2026 season so far, boasting victories in Strade Bianche, Milan-San Remo, and the Tour of Flanders. Despite narrowly missing out on winning Paris-Roubaix after an intense battle with Wout van Aert, Pogačar's form remains a significant threat.
As the peloton approaches the final 90 kilometers, riders will encounter nine grueling climbs, intensifying the competition. Seixas's rise and Pogačar's dominance set the stage for an electrifying showdown in one of cycling's most iconic events.
