Paris-Nice director Yannick Talabardon confirms that the Stage 3 team time trial serves as a crucial rehearsal for the Tour de France's opening stage. The 23.5-kilometer TTT, taking place from Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire to Pouilly-sur-Loire, is just four kilometers longer than the Tour's 19-kilometer TTT in Barcelona on July 4. This marks the fourth consecutive year for a TTT at Paris-Nice, with the Tour returning to this format for the first time since 1971. Talabardon emphasizes the importance of selecting optimal roads for the team time trial. Both events, organized by ASO, will use the same timing format, recording the first rider across the line. Unlike the Tour's challenging finale, the Paris-Nice TTT features rolling terrain, providing teams an opportunity to refine their strategies ahead of the prestigious Tour.
