Jonas Vingegaard expresses concern for Remco Evenepoel after a dramatic crash at the end of stage 3 of the Volta a Catalunya. The duo broke away with 22 kilometers to go, but Evenepoel lost control after clipping a roundabout, sending him flying. Vingegaard, riding for Visma-Lease a Bike, states, “I hope he is ok,” reflecting on the chaotic finish. Despite a chance to secure a stage win, Vingegaard chooses to wait for the peloton instead of capitalizing on Evenepoel's misfortune. “I didn’t want to take advantage of a situation like that,” he says. The breakaway showcased both riders’ tenacity, but ultimately ended in heartbreak for Evenepoel. Vingegaard hopes to see his rival back in action for the next stage.
