The Torbay Dinghy Regatta runs July 11-12, featuring PY Dinghies, both Asymmetric and Non-Asymmetric, along with Junior Classes. Notably, the Melges 15 class hosts its first-ever UK National Championships at Torbay. Charter boats are available, with a coaching day set for July 10. A pre-regatta social kicks off on the evening of July 10, followed by a BBQ and music after racing on July 11.
The Torbay Royal Regatta takes place August 21-24, open to IRC yachts, cruisers, sportsboats, and SB20's, including the IRC South West Championship and three National Championships. The J/24 class returns for their Nationals, while the Impala class also joins. This year marks the RS 21 class’s inaugural Nationals at the English Riviera. Post-racing social events include a Commodores Welcome party and live music. Torquay offers excellent accommodations and vibrant harbourside dining. Contact Bob Penfold for details on both regattas.
