The Seventh Annual Noosa Gaff Rig Regatta hits the water on June 6-7, 2026, at the Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club. This popular event coincides with the King's Birthday long weekend, perfect for a sailing adventure. The regatta supports the Sailability Program, providing sailing opportunities for people with disabilities. Only gaff-rigged yachts can compete, including those with four-cornered mainsails like Gaff, Lug, or Gunter rigs. Expect 25-30 traditional yachts sailing the picturesque Noosa River. No prior racing experience is needed, as the club offers sailing instructions and crew assistance. Entry costs $60, with registration through NYRC Reception at (07) 5449 8602 or on their website. Major sponsors include Ronstan and Bundaberg Rum. The NYRC Clubhouse will be newly refurbished, and Saturday night features the Gaff Rig Regatta dinner and entertainment.
