The Thames Valley Area Championships kick off at Broadwater Sailing Club, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Enterprise class. On March 21st, ten boats—four locals and six visitors—hit the water after a misty start. Race Officer Dave Patrick and Assistant RO Neil Parsloe expertly navigate challenging conditions, setting a course with two beats, runs, and reaches.

In Race 1, Ann Jackson and Alan Skeens claim the early lead but are overtaken by Jon Dyas and Dave Phillips, securing the win. Andy Cooney and Hilgard Muller finish third.

Race 2 sees Ann and Alan back on top, maintaining their lead against fierce competition from Paul Young and Igor Bakowski, along with Chris Rowsell and Teresa Burton. They take the win again, with Jon and Dave in second and David Hodgson and Sue Whitehill in third. The fleet breaks for a hearty lunch, boosting morale for the races ahead.
