The Royal Burnham Yacht Club gears up for the highly anticipated Whitsun Regatta, just 16 days away from May 23rd to 25th. This event promises a thrilling combination of competitive sailing and vibrant social gatherings.

Expect an exciting weekend as the RBYC hosts the 2026 Squib East Coast Championships for the first time, with around 25 boats expected to compete, including four local RBYC Squibs. Eight races will unfold over the weekend on windward and leeward courses, with Edwin Buckley and team Phoebe steering the committee boat.

The social scene is equally enticing, featuring a welcome drinks party on Friday night, Dan Hull's curry night with band SX5 on Saturday, and a performance by the well-known DJ Polar Bears can Dance after Sunday’s prizegiving.

Additionally, the dinghy fleet will enjoy dedicated racing managed by Sally Harbot and her team from the Burnham Sailing Club race box. The Cruiser/Racer starts will be overseen by Andy Wise, ensuring a well-organized event.

With support from Mighty Oak Brewery, attendees can enjoy a selection of ales and special cocktails. The highlight? The £200 Cup pursuit race on Monday at 11 am. Glorious weather is hoped for, making this a weekend to remember!
