The Jervis Bay Classic at Vincentia Sailing Club showcases an electrifying third edition with 71 boats racing in stunning conditions. Here’s why this event is a must-watch for sailing fans: it highlights the fierce competition and community spirit that make this regatta unforgettable.

Over the ANZAC long weekend, the atmosphere was electric as sailors celebrated the close of the regular season. The Australian Championships for F16s featured 11 competitors, while the NSW Hobie Cat Association wrapped up its 25/26 Traveller Series. The regatta kicked off on ANZAC Day with the Round the Bay Rally, utilizing the optimal "Callala Run" route thanks to a perfect nor'east breeze.

Bryn Robinson-Mills led the 14s at the windward mark, closely followed by Emma Webb. Meanwhile, Jarrod Spencer on the foiling A-Class surged ahead, dominating the race. The Hobie 18 duo of Scott & Elena, along with the Abbotts on the F18, also made headlines as they sped across the bay.

Spectators enjoyed thrilling racing as Sharpies and ILCA boats fought for supremacy. Edward Alexander excelled on yardstick, while Jocelyn Hood's Wave clinched top honors among the small cats. This event not only celebrates sailing but also fosters a vibrant community spirit.
