Williams will not participate in the preseason tests in Barcelona. The British team announces that it is opting out of the scheduled tests next week due to delays in the design of its new car, the FW48. In a statement, Williams clarifies that it prefers to focus on optimizing the performance of its vehicle. Instead, the team will conduct a series of tests, including a Virtual Test Track program. The other Formula 1 teams are expected in Barcelona from Monday, January 26, to Friday, January 30, for closed-door testing, where each team will have three days to run. Williams will also need to prepare for the two additional sessions in Bahrain, from February 11 to 13 and from February 18 to 20, before the first Grand Prix of the season, scheduled for March 8 in Melbourne.
