Dozens of canceled flights are complicating the arrival of Formula 1 teams in Australia for the first Grand Prix of the season in Melbourne this weekend. The Grand Prix director, Travis Auld, assures that everything is now under control. "The last 48 hours have required flight reorganizations," he says. Nearly 1,000 F1 staff members need to adjust their travel plans due to the conflict in the Middle East. About 500 of them, coming from Europe, will be transported by three chartered planes. The drivers, engineers, and mechanics, mostly based in Europe, are facing challenges in reaching Melbourne, but Auld remains confident: "Everyone will be there, ready for the race." After Melbourne, F1 is heading to China and Japan, with no impact expected for those races. Uncertainties remain for the Bahrain Grand Prix and the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
