The 2026 29er EuroCup kicks off in Carnon with a thrilling Day 1. Competitors face challenging conditions, with winds building to 20-25 knots by afternoon. A total of 130 teams compete across four fleets: Yellow, Blue, Red, and Purple, showcasing the depth of the international 29er circuit. Racing commences at 14:00.
The Yellow and Blue fleets complete four races, while the Red and Purple fleets finish three. French teams dominate the leaderboard, occupying the top five spots. Rossignol / Dolibeau leads the pack, followed closely by Mostini / Bunel in second and Moreau / Guillemot in third.
Tomorrow promises an early start for the Red and Purple fleets at 10:00, followed by a fleet reassignment before more racing begins. Saturday amps up the excitement with side activities for sailors and fans alike. Highlights include a Clean Walk organized by Océan Protection France from 10:00-12:00, a PumpFoil Contest featuring Piouz, and a Funny Race from 17:00-19:00 in the avant port. The day wraps up with a Sailors' Party from 19:00-22:00, providing an opportunity for athletes to unwind. The event village runs from 9:00 to 18:00, keeping the energy high.
