Gareth Ede dominates the Catapult TT at Bassenthwaite Sailing Club, securing four wins out of six races. This event, part of the Class Association's calendar, showcases the Catapult fleet alongside the Club's home fleets during the May Day bank holiday weekend.

The Race Officer set a challenging round-the-cans course in a tricky Force 2 breeze. Ede initially faced stiff competition from John Terry, while Chris Phillips and Stuart Ede struggled with wind shifts. By the end of the first day, Ede finished three minutes ahead of Terry, with George Evans taking third. The second day saw Ede extend his lead even further, finishing five minutes ahead of Terry again, while Stuart Ede narrowly claimed third, edging out George by just 20 seconds.

Race 4 featured Chris Upton, who had a strong start but ultimately, Gareth Ede maintained his dominance, even lapping competitors. The unpredictable wind conditions tested the fleet, but Ede’s consistent performance solidified his status as the standout sailor of the event. This weekend at Bassenthwaite reinforces Ede's competitive edge and sets the stage for future races.
