Elena Berta and Giulio Calabrò dominate Day 1 of French Olympic Week, showcasing their top-tier sailing skills. This performance sets the stage for a thrilling Sailing Grand Slam as they finish with a 3rd, 1st, and 10th place.

The British duo of Martin Wrigley and Bettine Harris closely trails, demonstrating impressive consistency early in the season. Meanwhile, Giacomo Ferrari and Alessandra Dubbini secure the final podium spot, maintaining top-ten finishes across all races.

A standout story comes from Afrodite Zegers-de Kleine, who makes a remarkable return to competition after a long hiatus. Partnered with 19-year-old Filippos Koulouris, they debut strongly, sitting in 7th place overall, including a commendable 2nd in the first race. Zegers emphasizes their adaptability and teamwork, highlighting Koulouris's quick adjustment to the high-pressure environment.

The Swiss team of Yves Mermod and Maja Siegenthaler also impresses, sitting in 5th place after resuming training this year. Just outside the top ten, promising young crew Lisa Vucetti and Vittorio Bonifacio hold 11th.

Stay tuned as the competition heats up in the coming days!
