Peter Jackson dominates Week 6 of the East Kent Radio Sailing Club's Spring Series, clinching victory with an impressive seven race wins. This event showcases the intense competition among 15 entrants, with nine sailors battling it out over 16 races in a steady 6-10 knot breeze.
Mike Brand starts strong, taking an early lead but faces fierce competition from Jackson and David Tomlinson. Jackson and Brand swap podium positions throughout the day, with Tomlinson consistently in the mix. However, Jackson's relentless performance, marked by consecutive wins, sets him apart.
Tomlinson, after a slow start, rallies to claim three wins and secures second place overall, seven points clear of Brand, who finishes third with three wins of his own. Notably, Rob Owens and Simon Thornton also shine, with Owens claiming one win and Thornton finally breaking his string of fourth-place finishes.
Andrew Nicholls earns his first podium spot, finishing seventh overall. With two event wins, Jackson trails only Adrian Tomlinson’s three as the series heats up with six races remaining.
