Galatasaray eliminates Juventus Turin in extra time (3-2 a.e.t.) during the Champions League playoffs. After a 2-5 defeat in the first leg, Juve, reduced to ten men as early as the 50th minute, pulls off the incredible feat of scoring three goals to force extra time. Manuel Locatelli opens the scoring with a penalty (37th), followed by Federico Gatti (70th) and Weston McKennie (82nd) who equalizes with a header. Despite a miss from Zhegrova (96th), Galatasaray regains control with a goal from Victor Osimhen (105th+1) and a second from Baris Yilmaz (119th). The Turks, after an intense match, qualify for the Round of 16, leaving the Old Lady with regrets.
