The 2026 Quantum Sails Melges 24 Great Lakes Cup kicks off this May, setting the stage for a pivotal summer in sailing. This series, now in its sixth year, is not just a collection of regattas; it’s a battleground where top teams face off and new contenders emerge.
From May 15-17 at Muskegon Yacht Club, the Spring Championship launches a five-event circuit that showcases the unique conditions of Great Lakes sailing. Key stops include the prestigious Detroit Sailing World Regatta Series, leading up to the final events in Traverse City and Harbor Springs.
This year is significant, as the overall champion will be recognized during the Melges 24 World Championship in Harbor Springs from September 19-26, linking regional achievements to global aspirations. Quantum Sails continues its support as the title sponsor, enhancing the competition with sailmaking and shoreside assistance across all venues.
