The Tre Golfi Sailing Week 2026 is just days away, gearing up to be a major highlight in the international sailing calendar. This event will showcase the ORC World Championship and the IMA Maxi European Championship, drawing over 211 entries from around the globe.

Organized by Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia, alongside the Yacht Club Italiano and the Reale Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia, this year’s competition emphasizes its status as a premier Mediterranean racing event. The ORC World Championship kicks off from May 5 to 14, featuring a fleet of more than 110 boats, while the IMA Maxi European Championship follows from May 21 to 28, boasting a remarkable lineup of Maxi yachts.

The championship includes the famed Regata dei Tre Golfi, combining technical inshore racing with challenging offshore conditions. However, potential changes to the offshore race schedule may occur due to the visit of Pope Leo to Naples on May 8, leading to city-wide restrictions.

Bruno Finzi, President of the Offshore Racing Congress, highlights the event's strong international participation and competitive nature, while Andrew McIrvine, Secretary General of the International Maxi Association, emphasizes its importance for the Maxi fleet. This week promises thrilling competition in one of the world's most picturesque sailing locales.
