Walker Buehler signs with the San Diego Padres after eight seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The right-hander joins the Padres on a minor league deal, aiming for a spot in the big league camp. "Yeah, it feels a little weird," Buehler admits in Arizona, donning his new brown and gold uniform. The 31-year-old seeks to make an impact in the rotation, stating, “I’m here to try and make the team.” Buehler, a two-time All-Star with two World Series rings, returns to the NL West after a challenging year split between Boston and Philadelphia. He boasts a stellar 7-1 record and 1.67 ERA against the Padres in his career. Competing for rotation spots, Buehler faces Nick Pivetta, Joe Musgrove, and Michael King, along with Randy Vasquez and JP Sears. He’s focused on getting back to form and contributing to a talented Padres lineup.
