Stokes Bay hosts an exhilarating RS800s showdown, featuring two days of racing under perfect conditions. Here’s why this event sets the stage for upcoming competitions.

The weekend delivers six races with ideal winds ranging from 10 to 17 knots, sparking intense downwind action. Tom Morris and Guy Fillmore dominate the competition, finishing first with an impressive score of just 5 net points, demonstrating exceptional consistency. In second place, Hugh Shone and Monique Vennis Ozanne clinch a race victory, showcasing their competitive edge. Louis Johnson and Lucy Hewitson secure third, bouncing back strongly after an early UFD.

The battles extend throughout the fleet, with Bryan and Anna alongside Alastair and Ella rounding out the top five. Notably, Rory Odell and James Hall implement a unique strategy on day two due to gear failure, opting to sail to the windward mark and call it a day. This unconventional move highlights the unpredictable nature of racing.

With a weekend filled with sunburn, sore legs, and smiles, the excitement continues as the next challenge awaits at the Weymouth Skiff Open on May 9th and 10th.
