NASCAR eliminates the "Promoter's Caution" for the All-Star Race at Dover Motor Speedway this season. The event, set for May 17, features a three-segment, 350-lap format. This marks the first time the All-Star Race takes place in the Northeast in its 42-year history.

NASCAR shifts the All-Star Race from North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, to allow North Wilkesboro to host a points-paying Cup race. Dover loses its traditional Cup race for at least one season. All drivers compete in the first two segments, with the top 26 finishers from the first segment having their starting order inverted for the second. The remaining drivers line up based on their finishes.

The starting lineup for the final 200-lap race is determined by the lowest combined finishing positions from the first two segments. The final features 26 cars, including race winners and previous champions, with additional spots filled based on segment results. The last position is awarded through a fan vote. A competition break occurs around Lap 225. The race winner claims a $1 million prize, with no points at stake. Last year, Christopher Bell triumphed over Joey Logano in an intense finish at North Wilkesboro. Dover also hosts a Truck series race on Friday and a second-tier series race on Saturday.
